Library and Technology Center Renovation continues through fall
The Livingston Lord Library and Technology Center Renovation Project continues through Fall semester 2013 with a planned finish date of mid-semester Spring 2014. We are very excited to be getting closer to the completion of the project and being able to offer a inviting, comfortable, and technology-rich space for our users.
Here are a few updates for the campus community:
(1) The 3rd and 4th floors of the library will not be open to the public for a while longer as construction on these floors continues. However, the materials on these floors are still accessible using our “Pull Service.” This service will continue to be utilized until mid-September or until the floors are opened. To utilize the Pull Service, go to the Library’s online catalog, search for your items, and place a hold on them. The books will be pulled from the 3rd and 4th floors, and you will receive an email when they are ready to pick up in the Library lobby.
(2) The only entrance into the Library and Information Technology services continues to be on the north side near the CMU. This is also where you may return books and other checked out items.
(3) The IT Help Desk continues to be open during library hours on the 1st floor of the library.
(4) The Reference and Research Help desk continues to be located on the south side of the Library’s 2nd floor.
(5) All other services will continue to be available.
(6) If you are looking for places to study, we have space available on 2nd floor.
(7) Until the renovation is complete, for your 24-hour computer lab needs, please use the 24-lab in the Center for Business.
(8) The Faculty Development Center is currently operating under summer hours (Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Friday – 7:30 – 4:30 p.m.; Saturday – 1-4:30 p.m., Sunday – closed), but beginning August 26, will be open the following hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, 12 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., Sunday, 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. Employees can access the Faculty Development Center during these hours, using their Dragon ID card for door access.
