T. J. Hansen, Economics, participated in the Joint Annual Meeting of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA) and the Canadian Agricultural Economics Society (CAES) in Washington, D.C., August 4-6. Members of these organizations specialize in applied economics research focused on agriculture and the environment, growth and development, and rural and regional economies.

Hansen reviewed submissions for the AAEA’s concurrent sessions and served as one of the judges for the Graduate Student Extension Competition. Following the conference, Hansen attended a Federal Statistical Microdata Workshop at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Economic Research Service.
