Scheduling changes and updates

What is happening in Scheduling?
MSUM will be getting an upgrade to our EMS software. More than two years ago, MnSCU started the process of looking at scheduling software for all MnSCU institutions. Since then, MnSCU has worked with many people from across all campuses to put in motion the purchase and implementation of the Dean Evan’s product, EMS Campus.

What does that mean for us at MSUM? It means we will be “upgrading” from EMS Enterprise to EMS Campus. We will continue to have VirtualEMS, Master Calendar and the EMS Web Client.

When will the cutover be happening?
• Starting Monday, July 15 at noon the EMS scheduling system will go into blackout status and will not be available. Users/Schedulers will still be able to view appointments/events via VirtualEMS, but will not be able to make any changes until completion of the cutover on Tuesday, July 16.

What will be changing for us in EMS?
• Your login process – After the cutover on July 16, you will use your STAR ID login and password.
• The URL for requesting space will update on our websites. Please work on updating your book marks after July 16.

What should I do if I run into a scheduling emergency during downtime?
• If you absolutely need to schedule a room during the down time, you can contact Scheduling Services at 218.477.2662 or CMU Event Services at 218.477.2261.
