Economics students and faculty present workshop at Expanding Your Horizons Conference

“The Mystery of Markets,” a workshop developed by MSUM Economic Society members (Kofi Boadu, Cody Brandt, Tori Duncan, Hannah Frink, Rachel Hettich, Jasmine Lam, Anthony Lau, Ilerioluwa Oyebanjo, Diamond Stokes, and You Wang) and faculty advisors, T. J. Hansen and Gregory Stutes, was one of 48 workshops presented at the Expanding Your Horizons Conference April 6. This conference invites young women in the seventh, eighth, and ninth grades to explore careers which use mathematics and scientific inquiry. Thirty-two young women from Minnesota and North Dakota schools participated in the economics workshop.
