Minnesota Board of Teaching grants approval for graduate program proposals
The School of Teaching and Learning received news that each of the special education graduate program proposals submitted to the Minnesota Board of Teaching has received approval. Dr. Camille Brandt reports that MSUM is among the first universities in the state to receive official approval to begin offering graduate coursework leading to the new Autism Spectrum Disorders teaching license. Other approved graduate programs include Specific Learning Disabilities, Physical & Health Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Emotional & Behavioral Disorders, and Early Childhood Special Education. The faculty in special education are pleased with the Board’s approval for each program, and are enthusiastic about beginning the new ASD license program.
