MSUM alum received 2012 ASCAP Award
Dr. Lori Ardovino, a 1984 MSUM graduate with a B.A. and B.S. in music, is the 2012 winner of an American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Award. Ardovino is currently a Professor of Music at the University of Montevallo where she has been for the past 20 years. Her solo and chamber music has been published seven times in the past year. Ardovino recently finished a CD titled From a Crack in the Wall, music for clarinet by Alabama composers, which includes three of her works. The CD was funded by the Grants and Special Projects Committee from the University of Montevallo.
