MSUM hosted Valley Partnership’s New Teacher Academy
MSUM’s School of Teaching and Learning hosted the Valley Partnership’s New Teacher Academy on campus yesterday. The event is part of a partnership with NDSU and VCSU.
New teachers were invited to attend a free one-day New Teacher Summer Academy to help them get started in their first classroom experience.
During the academy participants visited with peers, developed tools to use in their first days of teaching, and heard from and questioned teachers who have recently completed their first year in the classroom. Dr. Lynn Mahlum and Keri Desutter, School of Teaching and Learning, worked with a team of peers to develop this institute.
