Insurance reps on campus Oct. 18

Representatives from the State Employee Group Insurance Program and Insurance carriers will be on campus Tuesday, October 18th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the CMU Ballroom Section A.
Individuals from MMB, BlueCross BlueShield, HealthPartners, Preferred One, State Dental Plan (Delta Dental), HealthPartners State of Minnesota Dental Plan, OCHS Incorporated (representing Life, AD&D and Disability benefits), Navitus, JourneyWell, LifeMatters and Eide Bailly will provide presentations and information at this meeting.
There will be short presentations from each of the carriers starting at 9:00 am with time allotted afterwards for individual questions at their tables.
If you have questions directed to specific carriers, now is the time to talk to the experts! No need to register, just come to the ballroom.

Open Enrollment will begin on Wednesday November 2, 2011and go through Tuesday, November 15, 2011.
Some 2012 Open Enrollment Opportunities:
2011 Pre-tax elections for the Medical Dental Expense Account (MDEA), Dependent Care (Daycare) Expense Account (DCEA) and the Transit Expense Account (TEA) can be made between November 2 – 15, 2011.
This year, you may change your medical insurance carrier or add/cancel dependent coverage. The JourneyWell Health Assessment will also be available during the Open Enrollment period. Taking the Assessment and agreeing to accept a health coaching call will provide you with a $5.00 reduction in your office visit copays and provide access to a number of JourneyWell Health programs. Dental Insurance is also open this year for enrollment, adding or dropping dependents or changing your carrier. You may also adjust your Long-Term Disability or Manager’s IPP during this Open Enrollment period.
Although the bargaining process has not been completed, pertinent information such as new 2012 premium rates or plan design changes will be posted on the MMB website once the process has been completed.
