Diversity & Inclusion co-sponsoring diversity conference Nov. 9

Conference theme: “Managing Diversity in Times of Change and Development”

Cultural Diversity Resources Inc., a non-profit organization, is organizing a one-day diversity conference for business professionals, educators and general community Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Comstock Memorial Union. Conference co-sponor is the MSUM Office of Diversity & Inclusion.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear and learn from outstanding and national speakers such as Mark Gorkin, ‘The Stress Doc’ & Organizational Development Consultant; Leah Simley, President, Society for Diversity Executives and Professionals; Prof. Richard Rathge, ND Data Center, NDSU; Associate professor, Ahmed Kamel, Concordia College; Suzanne Koepplinger, MN Indian Women’s Resource center; and Jaclynn D. Wallette, Assistant VP for Equity, Diversity & Global Outreach, NDSU.

Speakers cover key diversity topics to keep us equipped to manage changing times and development such as: “Census 2010 outcomes and its impact for the region, Creating a new diversity strategy, Working with a diverse workforce, learning and understanding Islam, Practicing safe stress in times of change, Sex trafficking of marginalized populations, and Bridging the multi-generational communication divide and Urban Native Americans.”  Six (6) SHRM recertification credits approved for Professionals in Human Resources and Continuing Education Units are also available.
