Learn more about MSUM’s new visual identity at open forums

By now many have seen the new academic wordmark and the new visual identity system come to life through print, merchandise, signage and other materials. The new look and design is part of a larger branding initiative led by the MSUM Marketing team.

The Marketing team will be holding a series of Open Forums this week to continue sharing information about the overall brand strategy. The presentation will include highlights from the research, the creative development process, our brand messaging, the new visual system and how it will impact the University. It will also cover proper usage of the University logo, usage of the Dragon logo, licensing and how to order merchandise and other pertinent information. There will be time at the end of each session for Q&A.

The Open Forum schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, August 30 (CMU 101)

2:00pm &  3:30pm

Wednesday, August 31 (CMU 205)

10:00am & 11:30am

Thursday, September 1 (CMU 205)

Noon

The Marketing team has also built a microsite at www.mnstate.edu/brand to house all the collective information related to the brand, including highlights from our research, the creative process, samples of the new brand in action and other valuable information. We’ll be adding additional materials to the site as they are developed, including the visual identity standards guide in early September, which will coincide with the logo becoming available to download directly from the site.

Please email marketingteam@mnstate.edu if you have any questions related to the branding strategy or the Open Forum presentation.
