Provost finalists visit campus
Two finalists for the position of Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs will visit MSUM in the next two weeks. Both individuals have excellent qualifications, and we are honored that they have considered MSU Moorhead for the next step in their careers.
Charles F. Harrington served as Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at University of North Carolina at Pembroke from 2005 to 2010 and as Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at University of Southern Indiana from 2000 to 2005. He received his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Ohio University. In addition, he received his master’s degree in non-profit management from Drexel University.
The open forum for Harrington will be Wednesday, April 20 at 3 p.m. in the CMU Ballroom. The open forum will be followed by a reception for the whole campus community.
Anne E. Blackhurst is currently serving as Acting Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at Minnesota State University Mankato. Prior to that she served as Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at Mankato from 2008 to 2010 after having served in an interim capacity in that position from 2006 to 2008. She received her Ph.D. in College Student Personnel at Ohio University, her master’s degree in counseling at the College of Idaho, and her bachelor’s degree in economics at Boise State University.
The open forum for Blackhurst will be Thursday, April 28 at 3 p.m. in the 109 Center for Business. The open forum will be followed by a reception for the whole campus community.
