MSUM art exhibit opens April 25

The final exhibition of the semester at MSU Moorhead features the work of 4 graphic designers, 1 sculptress, and 2 drawing/illustration majors. All students are doing very interesting bodies of work and are articulate about their work.

Elise Hylden has written and illustrated a children’s book; Kaylyn Gerenz creates large-scale sculptures from felted wool; Sonia DeBenetti does large-scale drawings; the graphic designers, Brett Craigmile, George Stack, Cheryl Wald and Kristen Wann have spent a semester creating a company or business of various sorts.  

The exhibit opens Monday, April 25 and runs through May 12. A reception in honor of the artists will be held Thursday, April 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. It’s free and open to the public.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday;  and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.
