Tom Brandau Profiled on Prairie Public TV’s “Prairie Pulse”

MSUM Film Professor Tom Brandau will be profiled on Prairie Public TV’s “Prairie Pulse” this Friday (2/18) at 7:30PM. The profile piece, one of several created by PPTV featuring local and regional artists, focuses on Brandau’s work as a filmmaker with an emphasis on films he’s created since becoming an MSUM Film Studies faculty member in 2004. The program also features interviews with some of the actors and artisans Tom has collaborated with, as well as fellow faculty members.  The show repeats on Saturday (2/19) at 5:00PM.

Minnesota Legacy Productions presents the work of filmmaker Tom Brandau in an artist profile on PPTV’s Prairie Pulse show Friday, Feb. 18th at 7:30 p.m. The show repeats Saturday, Feb. 19th, at 5 p.m.

The artist profile is one of several created by PPTV featuring local artists. Brandau teaches in the Film Studies Department at Minnesota State University Moorhead. A graduate of The American Film Institute, Brandau is a filmmaker, screenwriter and playwright. His films have received several awards including The Retirement Research Foundation National Media Award, The Barry Levinson Arts Award, The Rosebud Award and several Telly Awards.  His documentary, Whales Ltd., was a regional winner and national finalist in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Student competition.
