School Psychology Program Approved

MSUM’s School Psychology Program has been notified that its Specialist degree program has received Full Approval from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) after passing an extensive review process. NASP is an affiliate of the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The MSUM School Psychology Program has been NASP Approved since the beginning of the program approval process in 1988. The current approval runs through 2014. NASP Approval is critical for our students since graduation from a NASP Approved program is required for licensure in Minnesota and many other states.

Williams named Yamaha Performing Artist

Dr. Kenyon Williams, Associate Professor of Percussion, has been named a Yamaha Performing Artist. His work with the Fargo Moorhead Symphony, solo performances and clinics across the country, and leadership within the Percussive Arts Society all contributed to this honor. As a Yamaha artist, he will endorse Yamaha products while also receiving support for his appearances at future performances and workshops. Yamaha is one of the largest manufacturers of percussion instruments in the world, and maintains an elite roster of artists who perform exclusively on their instruments. Williams also endorses Latin Percussion instruments, Innovative Sticks and Mallets, and Coyle Steel Drums.
