Don Clark showing work in Italian exhibit

Don Clark, Professor, Art & Design, currently has a portfolio of work included in an invitational exhibition in Ascea, Italy. The exhibition is being held in conjunction with the Parmenideum: Philosophy Retreat of Elea Italy. The retreat’s purpose is to increase knowledge of the Eleatic School of philosophy. The exhibition runs through February 13 at the Palazoo Ricci, Ascea, Italy. Clark spent five weeks photographing in Italy while on sabbatical in the spring of 2008. Carol Sibley served as juror for poetry award winner

Carol Hanson Sibley, Library, recently served as one of the jurors appointed to select the 2010 winner of the Lee Bennett Hopkins Poetry Award. The award honors the “best” poetry book for children published in 2009. The committee selected “Button Up” by Alice Schertle as the winner. Three honor books were also named: “A Curious Collection of Cats” by Betsy Franco, “Crossing Stones” by Helen Frost, and “The Tree that Time Built” by Mary Ann Hoberman. The award is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Center for the Book.
