Incentive program gives sandbagging credit

College students in Moorhead now have a little more incentive to bag sand. The city of Moorhead’s “Bags for Books” promotion will give students a $10 gift card to their school’s bookstore for every two hours that they bag sand. The offer applies to students of Minnesota State University Moorhead, Concordia College and Minnesota State Community and Technical College. Click headline for details.

Two Moorhead campus projects included in bill Moorhead campuses are pleased with a proposed bonding bill that includes support for two major building projects. The bill, as proposed by the House and Senate last week, includes $14.9 million to renovate Livingston Lord Library at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Bridges’ Oscar touches Fargo woman, his mother-in-law

Patricia Hansen’s face beamed like that of a proud parent as Jeff Bridges took the prize for best actor at the Oscars on Sunday night. “Oh, wonderful. Congratulations, baby!” Hansen, 79, said. “I feel great. I feel just great,” Hansen said, a former professor at MSU Moorhead.
