College students in Moorhead now have a little more incentive to bag sand. The city of Moorhead’s “Bags for Books” promotion will give students a $10 gift card to their school’s bookstore for every two hours that they bag sand. Two Moorhead campus projects included in bill Moorhead campuses are pleased with a proposed bonding bill that includes support for two major building projects. The bill, as proposed by the House and Senate last week, includes $14.9 million to renovate Livingston Lord Library at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Patricia Hansen’s face beamed like that of a proud parent as Jeff Bridges took the prize for best actor at the Oscars on Sunday night. “Oh, wonderful. Congratulations, baby!” Hansen, 79, said. “I feel great. I feel just great,” Hansen said, a former professor at MSU Moorhead.
