MSUM Athletic Training students, faculty and staff attended the March 8th Moorhead City Council meeting to accept the Mayor’s proclamation. “Sports Safety is a Team Effort” is the theme of this year’s National Athletic Training Month, which is sponsored by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), a not-for-profit organization based in Dallas, Texas. The proclamation is an effort to highlight the profession of athletic training and recognize the certified athletic trainers and athletic training students in Moorhead. Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND) will speak about our nation’s polarized political discourse Friday, March 26 at 11 a.m. in Weld Hall Glasrud Auditorium. The topic has broad relevance, covering ethics, political science, mass communications, and speech communications. As you may know, Senator Dorgan announced his retirement in January. He has served in public office since 1968. When he steps down at the end of his current term, he will have served six terms in the U.S. House of Representatives and three terms as a U.S. Senator. Don Clark, Professor, Art & Design, recently had three images juried into “X by Y: Digital Art in 2010,” an international Juried Exhibition at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Clark has also recently had a photograph from the same series accepted into “Of Memory, Bone & Myth,” a national juried photographic exhibition at the University of North Dakota.
