Woman & Child Health offered in spring
Community Health is offering a new elective spring 2011: Woman and Child Health (ComH 490; 3 cr.). This course is appropriate for students in Nursing, Community Health, Social Work, Women’s Studies, Elem Ed, Health Ed and Psychology. It will focus on history and contemporary trends of maternal child health (MCH), child development, women’s health issues, pregnancy related issues, health policies related to MCH in the US. This 3-credit overview course is timely, appropriate for anyone interested in MCH and will be a great elective for students needing upper division credits.
