Anthony Adah, Film student presented papers at popular culture association
Anthony Adah, Film Studies, presented a research paper at the Midwest Popular Culture Association, Minneapolis (Oct 1-3) titled “The Skin of the Lens: Land and Body in Indigenous Documentaries.” He was also elected to the Executive Council as Member-At-Large. In that capacity, Dr. Adah’s immediate duties include being one of the assessors of Undergraduate Papers and working with a team tasked with founding a peer-review online journal for the association.
Film Studies senior Jesse Balzer presented a paper titled, “Cuban Cinema: Remaking the Revolution” at the Midwest Popular Culture Association conference in Minneapolis (Oct 1-3). It is a for the Film Department and a major contribution from the History/Criticism Emphasis of Film Studies.
