UWCC school supply drive is underway at MSUM

MSU Moorhead has joined with other Fargo-Moorhead organizations to help support the 12th Annual Community School Supply Drive & Distribution, sponsored by the United Way of Cass-Clay.

This MSUM school supply drive will run from Thursday, July 15th through Friday, August 6th at 4:00 p.m., with distribution to children beginning on Saturday, August 14th.

NOTE: Last year, with the help of over 100 volunteers and over $100,000 in donated supplies, 63 different schools received supplies through this drive.

This year, the UWCC’s goal is to equip more than 4,500 students in need with a complete set of supplies, so they are ready to learn! With more than 6,872 children in Cass and Clay Counties who receive free and reduced school lunches there is still a tremendous need!

PLEASE help solve this critical need in our community by dropping off school supplies on or before Friday, August 6th, in the red barrels located outside the Human Resources office – OWENS 214.

ITEMS NEEDED:

New Backpacks*, Highlighters*, Markers, Crayons, Notebooks*, Pens, Pencil Boxes/Pouches*, Scissors, Erasers, Loose Leaf Paper, Colored Pencils, Folders, Pencils, 1 inch 3-ring binders

* denotes supplies most needed

NOTE: Cash donations are appreciated and will be accepted at the United Way of Cass-Clay. Make checks payable to United Way School Supply Drive and send to: United Way of Cass-Clay, PO Box 1609, Fargo, ND 58107.
