MSUM launches Indian Center

A new center at MSUM aims to improve recruitment and retention of American Indian students. MSUM sponsored a grand opening ceremony Wednesday for the American Indian Research and Resource Center in Holmquist Hall. In addition to providing a resource library and a hub for research projects, the center will be a gathering place for students. MSUM has about 100 Native American students, or about 1 percent of the student body, said Donna Brown, assistant vice president of student affairs for diversity and inclusion. Hendrickson to be enshrined at NCAA Wrestling Hall of Fame

n 2008, Menahga native Nate Hendrickson became one of the youngest inductees to the Dragon Athletics Hall of Fame at MSU Moorhead. His college wrestling accomplishments will soon be recognized again, when he is inducted into the NCAA Division II Wrestling Hall of Fame. Hendrickson was a junior at MSUM in 1997, when he won a Division II national title in the 167-pound weight class. He was undefeated that year at 33-0 and was named the NCAA Division II Wrestler of the Year. Click headline to read more.
