MSUM Offers Certified Supply Chain Professional Training

Minnesota State University Moorhead will offer Certified Supply Chain Professional training Thursdays from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. beginning March 25. Individuals will receive APICS certification and learn how to design a successful supply chain strategy; effectively manage supplier and customer relationships; recognize how logistics, technology, and data can enhance performance; and how to incorporate all processes to increase customer satisfaction and improve the organization’s bottom line. Disaster & Ethics presentation March 11

“Why Should We Care? Disaster and Ethics,” a presentation and discussion led by David Dillard-Wright, visiting fellow, Institute for Philosophy in Public Life at UND, and assistant professor of philosophy at the University of South Carolina, Aiken, will lead this intriguing discussion about one of the most compelling issues we face today at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 11 in the MSUM Science Lab 118. Graphic Design majors win Gold & Silver in ND ADDY Awards

MSUM students majoring in graphic design have come away from the annual American Advertising Federation of North Dakota’s annual award show with Gold and Silver ADDY Awards plus the Larry Gauper Scholarship for student excellence. Alex Ehlen from Fargo won two gold, one silver, and the Larry Gauper Scholarship. Sarah Clark of Fargo won one gold and silver awards. Click headline for more information.

Nursing students return from Nicaragua

Professor Jane Bergland and seven nursing students recently returned from the ninth annual Nicaragua trip where they provided health care in rural northern Nicaragua. The team included MSUM nursing students, four pediatric residents from Hennipen County Medical Center, four emergency room residents from the University of Chicago, a dentist, faculty, and other ancillary staff.
