MSUM math speaker talks about symmetry patterns

MSUM Mathematics Colloquium features Professor Joseph Gallian, University of Minnesota Duluth, in a talk titled “Using Mathematics to Create Symmetry Patterns” at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 17 in MacLean Hall 167. A reception will be held at 4 p.m.

Gallian is a distinguish professor of mathematics, active researcher and award-winning teacher.

His talk will use video animations to illustrate how mathematics can be used to create computer generated symmetry patterns.
