Massed Choirs Sing Sunday

Three choirs featuring more than 125 MSUM students will perform choral music in several languages from a variety of musical periods and cultures. The concert takes place Sunday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m. at Our Redeemer Church in Moorhead.

The choirs, accompanied by a variety of instruments, piano and organ, will be led by Dr. Rod Rothlisberger, Dr. Jenny Dufault and Michael Siggerud, all members of the MSUM music faculty.

The concert is free and open to the public, but cash donations or gifts of new toys, personal hygiene items and school supplies are encouraged. Items must be small enough to fit into a shoebox. The collection has been organized by students in a leadership class at MSUM. Filled shoeboxes go Nov. 23 to children in third-world countries. The students are working through Operation Christmas Child, a program of Samaritan’s Purse, a national aid organization.

Our Redeemer Church is located at 1000 South 14th Street Moorhead. For more information, contact the Music Department at (218) 477-2102.
