Student Organization Leader of the Month Award
Minnesota State University Moorhead’s Student Organization Advisory Committee has presented Heath Butrum, a senior political science major from Veblen, S.D., with the September/October Student Organization Leader of the Month Award for his outstanding performance as a student leader. Heath was nominated for his commitment to Student Senate.
Heath Butrum dedicates himself to discovering and working through the issues and concerns of the MSUM student body. He uses his leadership skills as president of Student Senate to create a proactive organization of student senators who are determined to solve issues. He also convenes with the MSUM administration to establish the best options to undertake when dealing with student body concerns. Heath is described as willing to get down and dirty with numerous issues and he is a great individual to work with.
Heath is a 2005 graduate of Sisseton High School. His parents are Holly Butrum and Keith Butrum.
