Advocate seeking good opinion writers
Do you have a student you think would be a columnist? The Advocate needs students who can write well thought out opinion pieces. If you would ask in your classes, especially in Mass Comm or English ones (even other fields would work as well) that would be very helpful. If students are looking for opportunities to start a portfolio, or get experience, this is the perfect way.
Students can submit a sample of their writing and a brief list of issues they think they would talk about to Ehrlichki@mnstate.edu. Their opinion piece should be pertinent to the student body, interesting and thought-provoking. Any student is welcome to apply.
