Naturalization ceremony Thursday
MSUM will welcome 37 new Americans on Thursday during MSU Moorhead’s 3rd annual campus naturalization ceremony. U.S. Magistrate Judge Karen Klein will preside (Judge John Tunheim was called to an assignment in Kosovo). The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. in the CMU ballroom.
Among those taking the Oath of Allegiance is MSUM Associate Athletic Director Sylvia Barnier, who is originally from Jamaica.
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services naturalizes about 700,000 individuals a year.
