Eastern Blok @ MSUM & Studio 222 Sept. 18

Eastern Blok, a pan-cultural ensemble from Chicago, will perform at MSUM’s convocation at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Fox Recital Hall. It’s free and open to the public.

They will also perform at 8:30 p.m. that evening at Studio 222 (222 North Broadway, Fargo). Admission to that event is $10 adults; students free with ID (under 21 welcome!)

Eastern Blok effortlessly blends classical and jazz music with the rich folkloric traditions of Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Serbia. Eastern Blok features classical guitar virtuoso Goran Ivanovic, joined by Doug Rosenberg on woodwinds, Matt Ulery on bass, and Michael Caskey on percussion.
