Thanks MSUM for a Successful School Supply Drive

The results for the 11th Annual United Way of Cass-Clay School Supply Drive have been calculated and over 4,100 local students in need are prepared for success on their first day of school. A total of 4,114 backpacks were distributed, which is an 11% increase over last year!

MSUM employees donated the following items: Backpacks: 22; Markers: 11 pkgs; Notebooks: 23; Pens: 8 pkgs; Pencil Box: 1; Pouches: 2; Scissors: 3; Loose Leaf Paper: 2 pkgs; Colored Pencils: 3 boxes; Folders: 20; Pencils: 10 pkgs; Crayons: 20 boxes; Rulers: 3; Glue: 14 containers; Glue Sticks: 14; 3 Ring Binders: 6; Washable Paint: 1 container.

Are donations still being accepted? Yes. While the community-wide drop-off locations are not currently accepting supplies, United Way of Cass-Clay is still accepting backpacks and supplies. If you would like to donate, you can drop off supplies or monetary donations at the United Way of Cass-Clay office at 219 7th Street South in Fargo between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Any additional supplies and backpacks will be given to local schools throughout Cass and Clay counties.
