The New York Art Experience

The New York Art Experience, featuring the work of students and faculty artist John Volk, will be on display through Aug. 27 in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts gallery. Students stayed in NYU dorms, studied at the Academy and went to a lot of places! This exhibit showcases some of the work they produced as a result of this experience. A public reception will be held Thursday, Aug. 27 from 4-6 p.m. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by special arrangement, gudmunja@mnstate.edu.

Dan Battcher with TIAA-CREF will be on campus September 16-17 in the CMU. Paul Harris, History, gave a paper entitlted “An African American Looks at African Customs: Alexander Camphor’s Missionary Story-Sketches and Folk-Lore from Africa” and Raymond Rea, Film Studies, had his film “Straightboy Lessons” screened over the summer at Festival IdentiT.
