Two interesting book talks sponsored by the Faculty Development Committee for April.
- “The Myth of Progress: Toward a Sustainable Future” has been advertised for April 8 at 12:30 p.m. in CMU 216.
- A new event: “What Ever Happened to the Faculty?: Drift and Decision in Higher Education” by Mary Burgan at noon Friday, April 24 in CMU 201. Presenters: Nathan Clarke, History; Jill Frederick, English; and SuEllen Shaw, English
Mary Burgan is a former General Secretary of the AAUP and Emerita Professor of English at Indiana University. She has written a timely book given these uncertain times for the professoriate.
