Safe Zone Training
There will be a Safe Zone training on Wednesday, April 29 from 1:30-4:30 in CMU 227. You do need to preregister to attend.
Safe Zone seeks to form a network of students, faculty and staff committed and trained to provide safe, non-judgmental, and supportive contacts for all MSUM community members who may be dealing with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and/or Questioning issues.
This training is designed to develop awareness of issues faced by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) people, serve as a place to examine personal knowledge and feelings about LGBTQ people, enhance communication skills with regards to homophobia and heterosexism, and explore opportunities for becoming an LGBTQ ally.
If you wish to become a Safe Zone ally and provider, please contact Elizabeth Evenson in the Counseling Center to sign up. Email your name, department (or if student, just indicate so), and phone number if you would like to attend to evensnel@mnstate.edu.
Registration will be taken until April 24.
