“In Living Color” Topic of Dean’s Lecture

English Professor Hazel Retzlaff deliver’s a talk on “In Living Color:  How Reading American Literatures Together Enriches the Literary Feast” Thursday, April 30 at 4 p.m. in the Center for Business 111. It’s a feature of the Dean’s Lecture Series.

T. S. Eliot maintains that whenever a truly new literary work appears, all of the established classics are changed. Similarly, when we consider classics of American Literature in the context of works by American writers of various ethnicities, we gain significant insight into both those classics and the “new” works.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
