“The Mystery of Markets,” a workshop developed by MSUM Economic Society members (Kofi Boadu, Cody Brandt, Tori Duncan, Hannah Frink, Rachel Hettich, Jasmine Lam, Anthony Lau, Ilerioluwa Oyebanjo, Diamond Stokes, and You Wang) and faculty advisors, T. J. Hansen and Gregory Stutes, was one of 48 workshops presented at the Expanding Your Horizons Conference April 6.

Vernon Dobis, Economics, and T. J. Hansen, Economics, participated in the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA) Annual Meeting in Seattle, Wash., August 12-14, 2012. AAEA members specialize in applied economics research focused on agriculture and the environment, growth and development, and rural and regional economies. Hansen served as one of the judges for the AAEA’s Graduate Student Extension Competition.

Hansen, Economics, and Laura Kalambokidis, associate professor of applied economics at the University of Minnesota, were interviewed for an article in the fedgazette, a regional business and economics newspaper published by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
