Biosciences and Physics faculty co-publish study with students

Sara Schultz, Physics and Astronomy, and Brian Wisenden, Biosciences, and two MSUM students, Randy Sutrisno and Phil Schotte, had a paper accepted for publication in the peer-reviewed journal Ecology of Freshwater Fish. The title of their paper is “Fin-flicking behaviour as a means of cryptic olfactory sampling under threat of predation.” This is Sutrisno’s “Fish Whisperer” third peer-reviewed paper as […]

Wisenden and students publish paper

For the second time in the same week, Brian Wisenden, Biosciences Department, has published another research paper. Biosciences undergraduates Randy Sutrisno and Phillip Schotte conducted a test of phylogenetic differences in predators’ ability to mask or biochemically degrade the chemical alarm cues of their prey that eke out of the predator’s digestive system.

Bioscience students publish their research in international peer-reviewed journal

Bioscience graduates Cory Sailer and Sonny Radenic, both 2011, and Bioscience student Randy Sutrisno received final acceptance for publication for their research paper entitled “Maternal effects and exploratory-boldness behavioural syndrome in zebrafish.” The research was supervised by Brian Wisenden. Thus far, 62 undergraduates have co-authored peer-reviewed research papers with Wisenden.

EEB student Randy Sutrisno wins cash prize for best poster at NDSU grad fair
