Merrie Sue Holtan, Communication Studies instructor, won first place awards in Travel, Sports, Home and Personality Profile writing at the North Dakota Professional Communicators spring conference held in Minot, N.D. She also won third place and honorable mention in feature writing.

Merrie Sue Holtan, Communication Studies, won three writing awards from North Dakota Professional Communicators. She earned first place for special features published in “Lake and Home” magazine, second for feature stories, published in the Forum, and second for speeches. The first place award will move on to the National Federation of Presswomen competition.
