Dr. David Tack, STL, offered professional development for teachers seeking re-licensure in the Detroit Lakes Public Schools. Dr. Tack presented two sessions: “Identifying and Addressing School-Related Stress,” and “Teaching Vocabulary Across the Curriculum: Strategies for Middle and High School Teachers.”
Professors Kevin Carollo and Kevin Zepper, English, will square off for a poetry reading at Red Raven Espresso Parlor on Wednesday, March 4. This event begins with an open mic before they exchange blows, or poems in this case. This event is free and open to the public. The Red Raven is located at 916 Main Avenue, Fargo, ND.
Dr. David Tack, STL, presented his research on community building in the classroom setting at the 32nd annual Minnesota Association of Alternative Programs conference in Duluth, Minn.
Matt Craig, Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy, is a co-author on two recently published papers. One, in the Proceedings of the 125th Annual Meeting of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, is entitled “Writing and Assessing Student Learning Objectives: Tips, Techniques, and What Our Community Needs.”
Dr. David Tack, STL, presented the keynote address at the Minnesota Association of Alternative Programs Regional Winter Workshop a M-State in Detroit Lakes, MN. His conversation was titled “Creating Community from Within the Classroom.”
