Professional Development Day is Oct. 13

The Office of Academic Affairs and the Faculty Development Committee are sponsoring a Professional Development Day on Tuesday, Oct. 13. The workshop is designed to provide opportunities to learn about campus initiatives, increase responsiveness to students, to continue the conversation on Dr. Maryellen Weimer’s August presentation, and network with peers on a variety of topics. Learn about integrating writing, critical thinking, and active learning PLUS get FREE BOOKS at the Book Talk Event on Monday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. in CMU 203. The featured book: “Engaging teaching: The professor’s guide to integrating writing, critical thinking, and active learning in the classroom” by John Bean, Professor of English, Writing Program Director, and Chair of the University Task Force on Teaching and Learning at Seattle University.
