Nawrot attends CUR annual business meeting

Lisa Nawrot (Psychology) attended the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) annual business meeting in Flagstaff, AZ, June 29-July 2. Nawrot serves as a Councilor in the Psychology Division.

CUR divisions include arts and humanities, biology, chemistry, education, engineering, geosciences, health sciences, mathematics and computer science, physics and astronomy, psychology, social sciences, an at-large division that serves administrators and other disciplines, and a division for directors of undergraduate research programs.

MSUM has enhanced institutional membership in CUR so any faculty or staff member may join and receive CUR benefits, including resources and discounted meeting costs.

The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) President—and Concordia College Professor—Susan Larson advocates for undergraduate research in the Fargo Forum.

In “Undergraduate Research Opportunities Foster Creative and Innovative Thinkers,” an op-ed in the June 14 issue of Fargo’s newspaper The Forum, CUR president Susan Larson (Concordia College, MN) called attention to the contributions of undergraduate research to the nation and the skills that it builds in students.
