Doris Walker-Dalhouse, Professor Emerita, STL and A. Derick Dalhouse, Psychology, have a chapter published in Immigration in the 21st Century: Political, Social, and Economic Issues, edited by Judy Ho and Published by Nova Publishers, N.Y. The title of the chapter is Preservice Teachers Culturally Relevant Beliefs: The Impact of a Clinical Experience Tutoring Sudanese Students.
Keri DeSutter, School of Teaching and Learning, published a chapter in the Handbook of Research on Teaching and Learning in K-20 Education published by IGI Global. The title of her chapter is “Minority Students in Teacher Education: Diversifying America’s K-12 Teaching Force.”
Teresa Shume, joint appointment between the School of Teaching and Learning and Biosciences, has published a book chapter entitled “Computer Savvy but Technologically Illiterate: Rethinking Technology Literacy” in a book entitled “The Nature of Technology: Implications for Learning and Teaching” published by Sense Publishers.
Dr. Camille Brandt, School of Teaching and Learning, is one of the keynote presenters at the North Dakota Council of Administrators in Special Education Paraeducator Conference on June 20. She will be presenting strategies for working with students on the autism spectrum.
