Art, science department collaboration wows
Planetarium Director, Sara Schultz and Art Professor Brad Bachmeier were granted $9,000 to work in guiding art and science students to research and execute educationally accurate and visually dynamic murals to renovate the hallway entrance and walls for the planetarium. Zhimin Guan’s work reaches across the globe
Painter Zhimin Guan gave two lectures at Fuyang Teachers College (where he was named a visiting professor) and Fuyang Vocational and Technical College, both in Anhui province, China, this summer. Also, several paintings that were featured in an exhibition catalog, along with his oil painting “Minnesota Lake View,” was collected by Honlichen Art Museum in Guizhou, China.
