Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) is hosting the Education in a Recession Conference on Friday and Saturday, February 5-6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at MSUM’s Center for Business. This is a conference on meeting the needs of diverse learners. All events are open to student educators and professional educators at the elementary, high school, and higher education levels. MSUM psychology Professor Lisa H. Stewart will present the keynote address discussing history, components and implementation of Response to Intervention (RTI). The 10th annual World of Change conference for regional teachers of the social and natural sciences and mathematics will be held on campus Monday, Oct. 26. It is sponsored by the College of Social and Natural Sciences. Regional teachers from North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota will attend workshops hosted by faculty and staff members from Biosciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, Psychology, and Physics and Astronomy.
