Long-time Minnesota State University Moorhead head athletic trainer Andrea “Andy” Scott was named the Head Athletic Trainer of the Year for Division II by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) at their annual meeting last summer.
Freshman Music Industry student Michael Eback Gant was nominated for the Northern Ambassador European Music Tour for the summer of 2015. Gant, a bass vocalist, will tour England, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy, and Germany, a tour that normally costs participants $7,000. Gant’s costs will be completely covered by the program.
The School of Media Arts & Design played a major role at this year’s South Dakota Film Festival. A solo exhibit of paintings by Zhimin Guan, School of Visual Art, opens Sept. 24 and runs until Oct. 2 at the University of Minnesota Crookston campus. The show is organized by the Confucius Institute at University of Minnesota.
