On April 8, 2016 students from the College of Education and Human Services participated in a global human rights day trip to Winnipeg, Canada. The centerpiece of the tour was a visit to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, a world-class structure dedicated to the understanding of human rights and the promotion of respect for others.

Twenty-nine new members of the freshman honor society, Alpha Lambda Delta, were initiated into the local chapter on Saturday, April 9. ALD honors high academic achievement in the first year of college. Founded in 1924, the society now has 276 chapters and over a million members.
The Spanish program is proud to be inducting five new members into Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society.
