Long-time Minnesota State University Moorhead head athletic trainer Andrea “Andy” Scott was named the Head Athletic Trainer of the Year for Division II by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) at their annual meeting last summer.
Amy Sannes, director of MSUM’s Academic Support Center, recently chaired the annual conference for NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising. This year’s annual event was held Oct. 8-11 in Minneapolis. Dr. Jeremy Carney presented on “Professional Ethics and Social Media” at the Minnesota Social Services Association conference on September 24th. The presentation focused on the ethical challenges social media presents for human service professionals and possible best practice strategies in both professional and person use.
