Dr. David Tack, STL, offered professional development for teachers seeking re-licensure in the Detroit Lakes Public Schools. Dr. Tack presented two sessions: “Identifying and Addressing School-Related Stress,” and “Teaching Vocabulary Across the Curriculum: Strategies for Middle and High School Teachers.”

The High Divide published last September Minnesota State University Moorhead English Professor and novelist Lin Enger will read from his work at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 in the university’s Livingston Library Porch. The free reading is part of the Tom McGrath Visiting Writers Series.

Poetry reading at Red Raven with professors Kevin Carollo and Kevin Zepper

Professors Kevin Carollo and Kevin Zepper, English, will square off for a poetry reading at Red Raven Espresso Parlor on Wednesday, March 4. This event begins with an open mic before they exchange blows, or poems in this case. This event is free and open to the public. The Red Raven is located at 916 Main Avenue, Fargo, ND.

Five faculty members (Rinita Dalan, Jayme Job, George Holley, Michael Michlovic, and Bruce Roberts) and nine students from the Department of Anthropology and Earth Science attended the Council for Minnesota Archaeology 2015 Conference in St. Cloud, Minnesota on February 13 and 14.
