A recent list of more than 500 colleges and universities on a Department of Education Heightened Cash Monitoring list includes every MnSCU institution regardless of their actual financial standing. The inclusion of all MnSCU institutions stems from Minnesota Management and Budget missing a deadline for submitting its audit of federal aid programs.

STATEMENT Today, Governor Dayton announced his recommendation that Minnesota State Colleges and Universities receive $142 million in this biennium. If enacted by the legislature, this means that the state will continue to invest in a core public service providing Minnesotans access to high quality affordable education throughout the state.
