MSUM’s Livingston Lord Library and Training Our Campuses Against Racism (TOCAR) received a Lake Region Arts Council grant to create public art that explores ideas about diversity from the combined perspectives of campus and community.
The Library is celebrating “Children’s Book Week” May 11-17 with a display of new children’s books in the Circulation lobby and an exhibit of children’s book posters in the Curriculum Materials Center.
The Livingston Lord Library is looking for volunteers who are interested in serving on our children’s book award committee. Committee work includes screening new picture books, attending committee meetings and ultimately selecting the best read aloud picture books of 2009. About 150 kits, games and videos housed in the Library Curriculum Materials Center are candidates for withdrawal. Most have not circulated since 1999 and many have outdated contents.
