Bernard Gill, 1980 Head Librarian Emeritus, passed away September 25, 2009, at age 88 in the Hillsboro Medical Center Nursing Home. Larry Schwartz, Library, will be serving as president of the West Fargo Public Library board for the next year. He has been a board member since 2008.
The Tri-College Film Library, which has served MSUM, NDSU, and Concordia for over 30 years, will be closed at the end of Fall semester, 2009. This was a budgetary decision from the Tri-College Commissioners and approved by the TCU Board in late Spring, 2009. Click link to read more.
The library has acquired Oxford Reference Premium Online, an extensive collection of online reference tools. Included in this package are bilingual dictionaries, quotation books, abbreviation dictionaries and subject encyclopedias in a wide range of areas. All are published by Oxford University.
The library’s online system, MnPALS, will be down from 5 p.m. on Friday, August 28 until approximately 8 a.m. on Monday, August 31. There will be a slight interruption in library services during this time.
