Sandy Pearce, English, returned from the international meeting of the American Conference for Irish Studies (ACIS) in Chicago, April 9-12. ACIS is an interdisciplinary organization presenting research on Irish literature, history, art, film, and music. Pearce chaired two sessions: one on Irish literature with NDSU colleagues, Miriam and Andrew Mara, and one on art history.

Poems by five contemporary Saudi Arabian poets, translated into English by Yahya Frederickson, English, and Saudi counterpart Dr. Muhamed Shawkany, have been published in “New Voices of Arabia: The Poetry,” an anthology of contemporary Saudi Arabian poetry published by I.B. Tauris & Co. Ltd.
